Do you live for eating pie? Then this is the festival you need to attend. Get yourself over to Lakeside Park, in Celebration, Florida, because it's going to be delicious! Thousands of pie enthusiasts, from bakers to tasters, will descend upon the American Pie Council's Great American Pie Festival over two days. Tickets are a steal at $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and kids between the ages of 6 and 12.
The centerpiece of the Festival is the Never-ending Pie Buffet. Doesn't that sound like heaven? Not only will there be pie-there will be ice cream, toppings, and drinks as well! Pies come from all over including Cabot Cheese, Bakers Square, Winn-Dixie, Legendary Baking, Harlan Bakeries, Kroger's, Wick's Pies, Publix Supermarkets, and Village Inn.
Want to make your own tasty pastry? You can at the Comstock Creation Station. Start with a pie shell and decorate it with fixings. Take a photo of you and your masterpiece at the Paramount Pictures Labor Day movie Booth. Other fun activities include chef hat decorating, and of course a pie eating contest. Enter the Apron Contest, new this year, by putting on your fabulous kitchen fashion. You could win an Emile Henry gift certificate worth $250. Throughout the Festival, there will be entertainment on the Pietopia Stage. The line-up includes stand-up comedians, baton twirlers, jazz musicians, and pie expert demos.
